Military Families looks at the life of families with someone in the Army (present and past). It captures the identity of soldiers in their uniform and as a civvie. The project is based on a collection of stories, by interacting and interviewing the soldiers; their partners and children, gaining an understanding of what family life is like with a serving member.
Naomi created diptychs of the individual soldier in uniform followed by a family portrait of the soldier in civvie clothes. The project has been made into an artist book, sharing the subjects accounts of different relationships as a civvie while including old letters and sentimental items between the family members.
